For their latest endeavour, they partnered with La Grolla to enhance the interiors of the AdventCare Whitehorse facility, a project that harmonises art and wellbeing.
Navigating the Creative Conundrum
For AdventCare Whitehorse, the Interior Designer required a vast selection of classic pieces, including botanical art, landscape framed art, and coastal wall art that resonate with the residents. This diverse collection was infused with contemporary framing to suit the architecture of the newly built extension of the aged care facility.
Keeping this design brief and budget-friendly in mind, our consultant worked closely with the designer, assisting in cost-effective framing solutions. This collaboration resulted in the selection of 126 individual artworks for hallways and common areas throughout the entire aged care facility. While maintaining the traditional art themes, a contemporary light oak angled frame was used for a modern look, making it an ideal choice for art for aged care.
Crafting the Vision
AdventCare requested that the entire order be customised with Bible verses alongside the artworks, describing the sceneries of each piece. Our consultant collaborated with the designer to create samples of aesthetically pleasing cutout window mountings, adjusting font colour and size as needed. Our experienced framers meticulously handled the entire job, custom framing each piece with the designated Bible verse, ensuring the art resonated with the residents.
An additional challenge arose as the project was spread over a year in two stages, necessitating careful production and storage while adhering to the exact specifications, materials, and design notes from initial meetings.
